Meteor 7 -
A DOS-based program
written by Pierre Tierre. This program uses a interface box to the PC's RS-232
COM port and counts signal enhancements via an FM radio tuned to an unused
channel. I use it on 88.7 MHz. Software is free. He provides a schematic for the
simple one IC interface which can be built from Radio Shack parts. It is powered
by the COM port.

Audio Sprectrum Analysis - Spectrogram Ver. 15 by Richard Horne -
Here's a
great sound card audio spectrum program that I use to display meteor returns.
A must for any work with signals that are fed into your sounds card. You can
save incoming signals to WAV files for later analysis. It's Shareware - about

COAA's R_Meteor program cost
$29. With it, you can record meteors with a sound card which is connected to a SSB receiver tuned to produce a 1000 Hz. beat. It creates a bitmapped image of
the noise and meteor 'blips' when a signal is detected. It creates a 2.4 Mb.
file every 4 hours. I run it almost continuously on 217 MHz. (NAVSPASUR).
