For Desert Starlight, we have one or two programs each night before telescope viewing begins. Sunset: 6:28 p.m. First quarter moon. Planets visible: S sets at 7:40, V at 8:41; Uranus and Neptune rising.

For Full Moon Walks, visitors walk through at their own pace, but the entrance to the zoo is limited to a half-hour so that the staff and volunteers can get home at a reasonable time. We will have concerts starting about 1 hours before the moon walks.

Astronomers set up their scopes with filters to look at the Full Moon.
