On April 20th, 2002, Astronomy Day, the Roswell Astronomy Club helped the Dexter 6th Grade class erect their scaled model of the Solar system. We also provided Roswell Museum and Art Center visitors with a view of sunspots in the afternoon. That evening, the Astronomy Club members set up numerous scopes for over 300 visitors to view the planets of Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Venus, & Mercury; and of course the Moon. Gene Sherwood presented a free public slide show in the planetarium in the afternoon and evening. The show highlighted the planets and their alignment for April 20th. Home
