What's New

at the Roswell Astronomy Club's Web

October 12, 2001

Coming Soon.    A page or two featuring the Goddard Planetarium and the Robert Goddard Day's.

Check out live meteor scatter by listening to NAVSPASUR signals on 217 MHz. being broadcast from Roswell, NM, via NASA's OddSock server. This server rebroadcasts received forward scatter via Stan Nelson's SSB receiver at Roswell, NM with a beam pointed east, towards Lake Kickapoo, Texas. The pings are meteors. The slow changing tones are generally aircraft. Here's the new link: http://spaceweather.com/glossary/nasameteorradar.html

The Roswell Astronomy Club is proud to present their new Home Pages. The site is being hosted by Dr. Tony Phillip (Bishop Web Works) in Bishop, CA. as a courtesy to the club. We hope you will book mark us and check in often. Our mission is to help keep Southeastern New Mexico astronomy enthusiasts up-to-date on what's happening in the club and the surrounding area.

If you have news or items you would like to see included, please forward them via e-mail to: Gene Sherwood at [email protected] or Stan Nelson at [email protected]
